Family On Mission
Glacier Middle School is a Family on Mission! As a district and school we are committing ourselves to ensuring success for all our students in life after high school. In order to complete this mission, students are going to need a host of adults and peers that can love and support them. The stakes are high for students and the mission is ambitious. Middle school students crave the need to belong and the need for peer acceptance. I have see students that I have known since kindergarten as their principal willing to do whatever I ask them to do because of their desire to please. Seven years later, they look at me like my face is melting when I ask them to pick up a piece of litter, "Who me?" (insert adolescent face here). This experience is nothing unusual as a father of four when I ask for help around the house, which just points to the fact that they need me, the entire staff, their parents and their peers to help shape their work habits, their attitudes and character. ...
